12th Building Materials Trade Award

For the twelfth time, the publishing company Gert Wohlfarth GmbH (Duisburg, Germany) will be presenting the coveted 'baustoffmarkt' award at BAU 2005 in Munich - the exhibition scheduled to take place from 17-22 January. The winner of this award is decided on exclusively by the vote of the German building materials trade.

The main criterion in deciding on the winner is market partnership in practice with the distribution partner, the building materials trade. The German building materials trade nominates which industrial company/manufacturer is to receive the award.

In November 2004 Wohlfarth, which publishes the trade journal 'baustoffmarkt', sent out voting papers to owners and managers in the building materials retail trade and a series of questions. The questions were aimed at finding out how consistent the suppliers' sales policies were, how innovative they were and what the quality of their marketing was.

Past winners of this award have been: Knauf (1982, 1997); Eternit (1986); G+H (1988); Braas (1991); Ytong (1993); Hebel (1995); Ceresit (1999); Deutsche Rockwool (2001); and KLB (2003).
