A New Milestone for Betta Sanitaryware

Official acknowledgment in the form of a ceremony has followed Betta Sanitaryware's purchase of its 3000th mould from Sacmi Whiteware.

It all began in 1998 with the supply of new concept high pressure casting machines and glazing robots. Use of these new techniques and technologies generated brilliant production and business results, paving the way for a long-term industrial partnership between Betta Sanitaryware and Sacmi Whiteware.

Sacmi has now presented this South African company with an award to celebrate the purchase of yet another Sacmi Whiteware-made resin mould - the 3000th. During a brief in-factory ceremony - performed in front of mould number three thousand itself - the award was presented to Nick Booth, Managing Director of the Ceramic Industries Group to which Betta Sanitaryware belongs.

Betta Sanitaryware began restructuring its production operations in the mid-90s, focussing on high pressure casting with resin moulds in accordance with policies imposed by the President of Ceramic Industries, Gianni Ravazzotti. It turned out to be a winning strategy: today, the entire output – over 1.75 million pieces a year – is pressure-cast using benches and resin moulds supplied exclusively by Sacmi.
