Barbieri & Tarozzi Group Secures Orders in Spain

The Barbieri & Tarozzi Group (Formigine, MO, Italy) has recently received important new orders from the Spanish market. Pamesa, one of the leading ceramic groups in Spain - which also has investments in Brazil - will be supplied with a mix preparation plant equipped with the latest generation dispensing systems.

In the first instance, the plant will have a production of single-fired products of 9,500 sq.m. per day for the sizes 330mm x 330mm and 450mm x 450mm and will include two BM 38000 discontinuous mills and an atomiser with a capacity of 18,000 litres, equipped with a post-combustion chamber system that can recover hot air coming from another process (gas turbine) and consequently reducing fuel consumption. The equipment also includes a 93-metre glazing line and a complete storage line for the green product being fed into the kiln.

Also in Spain the new plant that B&T has supplied to Sugranes is going into production. The new line produces extruded products in sizes of 330mm x 310mm x 40mm, 330mm x 330mm x 50mm and 120mm x 240mm x 9mm with a daily production of 650 sq.m. The type of product that can be obtained is of particular importance as it will allow Sugranes to produce very thick special pieces, in particular steps and special wall tiles for swimming pools. The equipment is set up for the introduction of a new, 53.28 metre-long single layer kiln connected to a complete line of latest generation storage machines for loading and unloading the boxes and the kiln.
