Arburg Opens Mexican Subsidiary
Arburg (Lossburg, Germany) is now represented in Mexico by its own subsidiary – Arburg SA de CV – thus giving due recognition to the enormous potential of the Mexican market. This move is partly the result of the increased presence of international global players who are stepping up their production in Mexico, as well as the ever-higher quality demands made by the Mexican customers, said the company.
In order to be able to support these companies in line with the high Arburg quality standard, a strong sales and service organisation is required. Arburg SA de CV has been established to continue the successful work of trading partner IPLYH and to further enhance Arburg’s presence and proximity to its customers. The new Arburg subsidiary will present itself to the public for the first time at Plastimagen, which will take place in Mexico City from 8–11 April 2008.
Implementation of this new measure from 1 January 2008 onwards was planned to take place seamlessly for Arburg customers as established IPLYH employees had been transferred to Arburg, including three service technicians and a salesperson. Additionally, the head of IPLYH, Juan Carlos Lachica, will also continue to work in sales. The head of the new Arburg subsidiary in Mexico is Guillermo Fasterling, who also has many years of experience in the injection moulding industry.
As is the case with all Arburg subsidiaries world-wide, the new subsidiary in Mexico also provides a comprehensive range of services. This includes, for example, highly qualified service technicians for on-site support, a well stocked spare parts store for rapid availability of spare parts and a training room. The range of services is completed by the demonstration room where Arburg products can be presented and tested and where customers can receive comprehensive support and training.
