Anglia Introduces Miniature BCE Ceramic Plate Capacitors

BCE is the new name for a former Philips factory renowned for the manufacture of ceramic capacitors over the past 30 years. This factory was handed over to the existing management and renamed as BCE Sud Passive Components and continues to supply the very familiar Ceramic Plate Capacitor products.

This is described as a unique and mature line of capacitors which are constructed using a thin rectangular ceramic plate both sides of which are metallised with copper. The tinned connecting leads are then secured to the metallised areas using high melting point solder; finally the capacitors are encapsulated in an epoxy lacquer which is resistant to all commonly used cleaning solvents. The high quality materials and well understood production processes used throughout the manufacture of these ceramic capacitors ensure consistent reliability.

The capacitors are offered in three dielectric constants: Low K Dielectric, Medium K Dielectric and High K Dielectric. The first has an operating range of minus 55°C to plus 125°C; the second the same; and the third from minus 10°C to plus 85°C.
