Fourth Glazed Porcelain Tile Plant for Yurtbay

Yurtbay Seramik, based in Inonu just outside the well known ceramic production district of Eskisehir in Turkey, has decided to set up a fourth glazed porcelain tile and flooring line and has once again chosen Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy) to supply the production equipment.

This production line - fully designed and built by the Sacmi Group - completes one of the most modern, cutting edge factories for tile in Turkey in what is Yurtbay's 10th anniversary year.

The investment includes two PH3590 presses and related EVA793 vertical dryers, three glazing lines, an FMS2500/117.6 kiln and associated magnet-guided handling.

Thanks to this latest investment, output capacity of the porcelain tiles plant at Yurtbay has been boosted to 36,000 sq.m. per day. Together with its other production plants (also supplied entirely by Sacmi), the company's total output capacity has been raised to over 19 million sq.m. per year. This compares with an annual capacity of 3.5 million sq.m. when the company began at the end of 1996.
