United Defense to Purchase Ceramic Supplier
Industrial Heating 2004 (www.industrialheating.com) reports that United Defense Industries Inc (Arlington, VA, USA) has reached an agreement to acquire Cercom Inc (Vista, CA, USA).
Cercom is an advanced ceramic materials producer and supplier of lightweight ceramic armour. In addition to body armour for soldiers and ceramic armour tiles for vehicles and aircraft, Cercom provides specialty products for semiconductor manufacturing and metal processing.
United Defense Industries expects to retain the current team at Cercom.
