SITI–B&T Supplies Two New Lines to Spanish Tile Manufacturer

In the sphere of the new project of re-modernisation and expansion of the plant of Compacglass, Pamesa Group has put its trust in the experience and know-how of the SITI–B&T Group technology for the installation of two new lines dedicated to the production of porcelain stoneware floor tiles and for red body wall tiles.

The supply that will go to the tile manufacturing plant in Onda (Castellón) includes all the technological process machinery and the green tile storage plant.

There are three type EVO 3608/2400 presses with related VD vertical dryers of 111 metres, designed to work at high speeds; and two single-channel roller kilns of which one will be used to fire the floor tiles with infeed port of 2950mm and length of 130.98 metres. The other kiln will be used to fire wall tiles, with infeed port of 2950mm and length of 111 metres.

Both kilns are equipped with hot air recovery systems for the combustion process of up to 250°C, consequently offering the best possible savings currently obtainable in order to minimise gas fuel consumption.

The supply is completed by the futuristic BBOX storage machines to be able to work with high capacity boxes, which are handled by automatic laser-guided vehicles.

The increase in production within the factory involved in this investment is estimated to be around 20,000 square metres per day.
