Rheology Seminars

In conjunction with Triton Technology (Mansfield, Notts, England), Bohlin Instruments Ltd (Cirencester, Glos, England) is to hold further rheology seminars for multi-applications in Chester, Cheshire on 19 March 2002 and in Leeds, West Yorks on 20 March 2002.

The purpose of the seminar will be to introduce the basic concepts of industrial rheology and how these are used as predictive and QC measurement tools in formulation, processing and manufacturing. It will primarily be of interest to scientists, technicians and engineers who are working in quality control, research or technical services. Organised as a one-day course, at a cost of £150 + VAT, it will include a series of lectures complemented by practical demonstrations.

Bohlin Instruments is a UK based supplier of laboratory rheometer and viscometer systems and has just announced that it achieved a 30% increase in revenues during 2001.

As well as the full-year effect of the Rosand capillary rheometer product line acquired the previous year, the company's new flagship rotational unit - the CVOR - contributed significantly towards the revenue growth. Bohlin currently has multiple patent applications pending for the CVOR's drive technology.
