Daniel Platt Secures ISO 9001:2000 Accreditation

Daniel Platt Ltd (Tunstall, Stoke-on-England) has recently announced that it has become one of the first organisations in its sector to secure the ISO 9001:2000 quality systems accreditation.

Completing the transition to the standard, with its focus on continuous improvement through the delivery of measurable quality objectives, is seen by the company as yet another means of driving improvement from pre-sales, through manufacture, delivery and after-care service.

As part of the transition process, the company's quality systems were updated to reflect the importance of the service element of the business. Although not a mandatory requirement to the new standard, the activities of the technical and planning departments were also embraced with specific, measurable objectives being established for product availability and distribution.
