MTC Yixing Haldenwanger Successfully Develops Mechanical Connection for Fused Silica Rollers
The Morgan Technical Ceramics venture MTC Yixing Haldenwanger in China has recently successfully developed the mechanical connection between the fused silica roller end and the metal cap.
This new design successfully overcame the weakness of the silicon connection as the usage temperature should be less than 150°C. The mechanical connection could be used in environments of temperatures up to 500°C.
The Yixing company said that this new design greatly expanded the application of its fused silica rollers. MTC Yixing Haldenwanger has now patented this design and supplies these rollers to customers in Taiwan and elsewhere.
