Interest gathers for major engineering event


Metals Engineering 2001 returns to the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England from 8-11 October this year. Comprising nine individual trade exhibitions and an associated programme of conferences and activities, the main headlined exhibitions of Foundry 2001 International, Furnaces 2001, Aluminium (UK) 2001 and Castings 2001, are already nearly sold out, according to the organiser dmg world media (uk) ltd (Redhill, Surrey, England).

Among the sponsoring trade associations are the British Industrial Furnace Constructors' Association, the European Committee of Industrial Furnace & Heating Equipment Association and the Contract Heat Treatment Association.

It has been announced that the Institute of Refractories Engineers will hold a one-day conference on 11 October.
