Gas Detection from Control Instruments

The SmartMaxII from Control Instruments (Fairfield, NJ, USA) is described as an excellent solution for both large and small gas detection applications. Just one unit continuously monitors and controls up to four independent sensors while displaying multiple systems remotely.

Sharing the SmartMaxII with more than one sensor allows the users to dramatically lower the cost of their gas detection system in three ways, says the company: there's less equipment to buy; less equipment to install; and less to maintain.

Some additional features include:

-- Stand-alone design with built-in alarms and relays.

-- Automatic zero and span calibration.

-- Standard 4-20mA and RS485 Modbus digital port.

-- Remote access and adjustment features.

-- Full-featured display with status indicators.
