New Dates Announced for Ceramitec Exhibition

At its meeting held on 24 February 2005, the Ceramitec Advisory Board strengthened its international membership and collectively confirmed new dates for the next exhibition. Instead of taking place in October next year, Ceramitec 2006 will now take place from 16-19 May 2006 in Munich.

The board said that these rescheduled dates fulfil the wishes and expectations of the exhibitors and visitors alike and go some way towards providing an answer to the awkward scheduling of trade fairs in 2006, which would have otherwise have seen Ceramitec and Tecnargilla in broadly the same timeslot. Organising company Messe Muenchen GmbH added that the decision to shorten the trade fair to four days - eliminating the Saturday - was also expected to be welcomed by all sides.

It went on to say that Ceramitec 2006 would, as usual, present an unrivalled range of ceramic plant as well as materials for the ceramic and powder metallurgy industries. "No other trade fair in the industry provides such a comprehensive overview of the industry," said Messe Muenchen.

At the last Ceramitec, in 2003, no less than 65% of the exhibitors and visitors came from outside Germany: it is Messe Muenchen's ambition to increase these figures further, something confirmed by Managing Director Detlev Gantenberg who said: "We see huge opportunities for the industry in the markets of the future. Our chief marketing aim is to bring more trade fair participants than ever to Ceramitec - from all parts of the world".

The city of Munich, its central position in the new Europe, its new airport with outstanding international connections and, above all, its practical modern trade fair centre are all expected to contribute to the attractions of a Ceramitec exhibition being held in the month of May.

At Ceramitec 2003, some 25,000 top-level professionals from 106 countries went to Munich to see the products, machinery and services of 765 exhibitors from 41 countries.
