Ceramic Industry Forum Seminar

Last December the Ceramic Industry Forum (CIF) 'Drivers' seminar was held at JCB and the speaker focused on the catalysts for change with an emphasis on the long-term marketing and design strategy for the company. The next seminar, taking place at the Victoria Hall, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on 17 March 2004, will focus on 'Trends' for shape, colour and texture in the short to medium term.

The speakers are trend forecasters with a great deal of experience and knowledge in translating trends into projects for global clients. Their work will be presented in a specially designed seminar helping companies to fully interpret trend information whilst also giving an opportunity to ask questions. The speakers will create a forecast for the ceramic industry for 2005 that will concentrate on areas such as colour, shape and texture that can be interpreted directly into new product development.

The event will be split into two sessions: the first part will focus on macro trends and their general impact on the future of design, while the afternoon session will be targeted specifically at interior trends. In addition to the seminar, each delegate will receive a specially commissioned publication with a focus on interior trends and their impact on ceramics, featuring colour charts, inspirational items and material swatches, along with posters detailing the major influences for 2005.
