Swiss company introduces new base paper for specialist transfer printing

The Cham Paper Group (Cham, Switzerland) has introduced 'Transjet', a new base paper for sublimation transfer printing. The company says it has spared no effort to ensure that the paper is ideal for use with all customary dyes and inkjet printers. This speciality grade has been developed in close collaboration with various users and, when used in combination with the inkjet process, is said to open up a unique range of possibilities.

The company adds that, thanks to its high resolution capacity, Transjet paper guarantees sharp lines and edges in print reproduction. Dyes are said to dry remarkably quickly, thus significantly reducing the risk of smearing at high printing speeds. When used in conjunction with the transfer printing process, the paper is claimed to ensure excellent dye yield and high reproducibility of the design.

With its five production plants in Italy, Norway and Switzerland, the Cham Paper Group has an annual capacity of approximately 300,000 tonnes of high quality speciality grades. The group has a common sales and R&D organisation, a global sales strategy and is active in more than 40 countries world-wide.
