Mid-Wales prepares for ceramics biennial
North and South Wales Potters and Aberystwyth Arts Centre will present the 8th International Ceramics Festival from 29 June to 1 July 2001. Once again, this will be an opportunity to join some of the world's leading potters and ceramic artists. The international event offers teachers, students, ceramic artists, potters, collectors etc the chance to meet and study the work of distinguished names in the field.
There will be a programme of demonstrations, debates, lectures, films, kiln firings, hands-on events, exhibitions and a comprehensive display of products from leading pottery manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and materials.
Also to be featured is the Student Award, for a project to be carried out during the Festival, which attracts a bursary of £500 plus costs of materials and travel within the UK.
