Bigger Target for Ceramics China

Ceramics China 2006, which takes in Guangzhou, China from 16-19 May 2006, is predicted to be bigger than ever. "A lot of enterprises, particularly many famous enterprises, will expand their exhibition areas and many new clients are taking part for the first time," said Ms Han, the General Manager of the organising company, Unifair Exhibition Service Co Ltd. "As a result, the exhibition area is over 30,000 sq.m. up till now. We estimate that it is possible to reach our target of 40,000 sq.m. and the booths will surpass 2,000. There will be over 500 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors in total."

The event not only maps the latest technologies but is also intended to provide a world snapshot of the growth of the supplying power in Asia. Unifair said that the event always receives a great deal of attention from important overseas markets, such as those in Italy, Germany, the UK, Spain, France and Japan. As a result, the governments and relevant organisations in those countries often organise their domestic enterprises to exhibit in national pavilions.

This year will be no exception and the Italian pavilion has been announced for Hall 1C, the International Equipment Section, where it will be 30% larger than in the previous event. Other groups are also expected to participate, including some key suppliers from the UK.

Unifair has divided the show into four sections this year: materials, colours and glazes; international equipment; Chinese equipment; and ceramic products. The company added: "With the support of the trio of international industrial societies, top-level Chinese authorities and a number of the world's leading organizations within the industry, Ceramics China has become an annual flash of world intelligence, creativity, productivity and business opportunities in the ceramics industry".
