B&T's Castellon Presence Bears Fruit

The presence and image of Barbieri & Tarozzi (Formigine, MO, Italy) in Spain, where it has its own branch in the Castellon area, has been well established for some years both as a supplier of individual machines and a global partner in the realisation of complete plants. It is also known as a technological partner in the design and manufacture of large preparation plants for raw ceramic materials.

An example of the latter is its long-term collaboration with the Euroatomizado Group from Castellon, which during 2004 proceeded with a further expansion of its production plant for atomised products. The existing production line - which included three 160,000 litre continuous mills, an 18,000 litre atomiser and two 9,000 litre atomisers - has been expanded with the addition of two continuous mills, each one with a capacity of 160,000 litres.

These are for the production of technical granite, granite and single fired products. There is also a 20,000 l/hr evaporated water atomiser which can produce up to 60 tons/hr of atomised powder.

B&T turns over roughly 130 million annually - 85% through exports - and employs around 700 people; 450 in Italy and 250 in its overseas branches in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, China and Turkey.
