Carrs Paper Appoints New US Distributor and Agent
Carrs Paper (Solihull, West Midlands, England) has announced the appointment of Decal Specialties Inc as its distributor for the USA. Also, Ceramic Solutions inc - in conjunction with Decal Specialties - will be agents for Transcal products.John Andrews is President of Decal Specialties. Having graduated in Ceramic & Glass Engineering, John worked in the early years for Bickley Furnaces and also Johnson Matthey, before forming his own company, Decal Specialties, in 1977. John has enjoyed great success over the years, always re-inventing, pushing forward boundaries and seeking new opportunities in the field of decoration.
Ray Parkes, President of Ceramic Solutions, has almost 30 years' global experience in the ceramic, glass and general decorating industries. He has worked in most parts of the world, including North and South America, Asia and the UK. He was previously Vice President and Commercial Manager for Johnson Matthey at Downingtown, PA, USA.
Ray is very enthusiastic about Transcal Decal products and said: "Initial introduction for Transcal products in North America has been very successful. Response from the market place has been positive and very favourable, with serious competition for traditional supply long overdue.
"Technical performance and price levels have proved to be very competitive and have generated a great deal of interest from many market sectors. Local inventory and knowledgeable support are also seen to be of great benefit to the total package by those customers currently supplied."
