Bulk Container Breakthrough from ROSENLEW

ROSENLEW FIBC, one of the largest manufacturers of flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs) in Europe and North America, has unveiled a new design named the 'Pallet Less'.

CEO Bernard Hennet explained the concept: "This new and innovative FIBC is a breakthrough in design and simplicity. By allowing our customers the opportunity to pack, transport and deliver their products in a new and exciting way, it will truly add value whilst reducing costs in the whole logistics chain.

"By using the Pallet Less FIBC in the same manner as you would in a wooden or plastic pallet system, you really optimise the packaging chain as well as freeing up additional warehouse space which in turn does away with the planning process concerned with ensuring you have enough pallets in the chain.

"It's available in all models of ROSENLEW FIBC and being a completely plastic pack is welcomed by the food, pharmaceutical and technical chemical sectors. That said the Pallet Less design advantages can be utilized in all market sectors including commodity and agrochemicals, minerals and metals.

"It will also be a real asset to our customers that are currently having to use heat treated or fumigated pallets to export their products globally. The reduction in packaging waste is also a big factor and a forward step in environmental terms too."

Part of a 3i backed management buy-in in August 2003, ROSENLEW FIBC currently has production facilities in France, Belgium, Finland, Portugal and the USA, allied to sales networks in the UK, Germany and throughout Europe.
