Bauma to be Bigger


Bauma 2001 - the 26th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipment - will take place from 2-8 April 2001 at the New Munich Fair Centre, Germany.

Some facts and figures for this year's show follow (comparative figures for the 1998 event are shown in brackets):

Number of Exhibitors: 2,262 (1,993) - 1,101 of them from outside Germany (899).

Additionally represented companies: 71 (220) - 55 from outside Germany (130).

Number of participating countries: 42 (37).

Exhibition Area: Total area = 445,000 sq.m. (435,000 sq.m.).... of which Hall Space accounts for 160,000 sq.m. (140,000sq.m.) and Open-Air Sites 285,000 sq.m. (295,000 sq.m.)

Share of foreign exhibitors: 48% (45%).

After Germany, the countries most strongly represented (in order) will be: Italy, Great Britain, USA, France, Austria, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.
