AUTOMATICA Shows Alongside CERAMITEC

CERAMITEC 2006, which runs from 16-19 May this year at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Germany will be enhanced this time round as AUTOMATICA 2006 (2nd International Trade Fair for Automation: Assembly-Robotics-Vision) runs alongside it over the same four days.

CERAMITEC will be showing the complete range of machinery, equipment, plant, processes and raw materials for the ceramic manufacturing industry and also powder metallurgy. This is the tenth staging of this established event which is always a major international draw. The show will occupy the east area of the trade fair centre.

AUTOMATICA will simultaneously present an international product range in the core areas of assembly and handling technology, robotics, machine vision and associated technologies. The show will take place in the west area of the centre. The organiser of both shows, Messe Muenchen GmbH, said: "As the first international trade fair to bring together all branches of the robotics and automation area under the same roof in an independent event, AUTOMATICA portrays the entire spectrum of automation and reflects complete chains of output. Under the slogan 'Innovation and Solutions', trade visitors will find specific solutions to further optimise their production processes as well as the latest trends and innovations".

Automation solutions which optimise production processes are an important factor in the ceramic industry and this points to a useful crossover for manufacturing visitors to the two events. It should be advantageous for suppliers as well, since exhibitors at CERAMITEC will on the same site find their partners in packaging, materials handling technology, vacuum technology as well as suppliers of test and measuring systems.

The entrance ticket, which is valid for the two thematically connected events, represents a benefit for all participants because there are synergies for exhibitors and visitors in both sectors.
