ATC Launches New Single Layer Capacitor

American Technical Ceramics (Huntington Station, NY, USA) has introduced the 116 Series dielectric M, Max-K(tm), the newest addition to the company's single layer capacitor (SLC) range. This product has a stable X7R temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) of ±15% over the temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with a nominal dielectric constant of 25,000, which provides the highest capacitance per unit volume.

The capacitor has been designed for reliable automated wire and ribbon bonding and supports various attachment methods such as eutectic die bonding, epoxy die bonding or solder attachment.

The 116 Series Max-K provides a wide range of capacitance from 150 pF to 10,000 pF in a low profile, volumetrically efficient package. ATC says that the product provides an excellent solution for DC blocking, coupling and bypass applications over a wide frequency spectrum covering sub-MHz through to millimetre-wave applications.
