Almatis Expands Sales Organisation in China
Industrial Heating (www.industrialheating.com) reports that Almatis, a leader in full-line, high-performance speciality alumina products (and previously known as Alcoa World Chemicals), has expanded its Asian sales organisation by opening new sales offices in Shanghai and Kaifeng, Henan Province.
Xiaomin Xu will lead the Shanghai office and Chen Hao will lead the Kaifeng office. Both new offices are part of the Qingdao Almatis Co Ltd, Qingdao. According to the company, the decision to expand was made due to the high demand for high quality speciality aluminas in South East Asia and in China, as well as calls for close and integrated customer and support services.
The expansion of the sales forces is also aligned with the expansion plan of the existing tabular alumina facility at Huangdao in China's Shangdong Province.
