Allrounder for Students and Experts

ARBURG GmbH & Co KG (Lossburg, Germany) recently presented one of its Allrounder 270 S 250-150 machines to the Austrian Polymer Association at the TGM Technical Institute in Vienna. The Allrounder is to be used in the plastics technology laboratory (LKT) for the purposes of both training and research.

On behalf of ARBURG, the Allrounder was presented to the head of LKT, Dipl-Ing Alexander Revesz by European Sales Manager Stephan Doehler, PIM expert Dipl-Min Hartmut Walcher together with Peter Mueller, Rene Mueller and Josef Gebhardt from ARBURG's Austrian representative Franz Josef Mayer GmbH. Also present were the entire institute management and the current final year students of injection moulding.

The highlight of the event came after the official handover when the 'first shot' - a coin made of metal powder - was produced using the Allrounder to commemorate the 125-year history of the TGM. ARBURG has also undertaken to make metal and ceramic feedstocks available to the laboratory together with the relevant processing expertise.
