A Year of Initiatives for ACIMAC

Of all the activities proposed by ACIMAC for 2008, training is a priority. The newly issued calendar aims to keep those working in the sector constantly up to date on technological developments and standards. The subjects featured this year in the numerous courses, meetings and technical conventions include post-sales organisation and provision of spare parts, safety at work, customs legislation, energy-saving incentives, noise reduction and the protection of industrial property.

Regarding training abroad, there will be courses for technicians from client firms in Mexico, Ukraine, Iran and Vietnam (on tiles), and in Algeria and Argentina (on bricks) as well as a workshop in Turkey.

ACIMAC will continue to participate in trade fairs, a highlight being the 2008 edition of Tecnargilla in Rimini in the autumn. There are also other, more local fairs, specialising in single markets where ACIMAC is involved jointly or independently: specifically, ACIMAC will team up with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) at Indian Ceramics in Mumbai (from 11-13 March), Revestir in Brazil (from 11-14 March), Mosbuild in Russia (from 1-4 April) and at Ceramics China (from 21-24 May).

The association will also have its own stand at Batimatec in Algeria (3-8 May) and there will be an ICE-ACIMAC ‘Italian system’ presence at The Big Five in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (from 23-27 November).
