Waterford Wedgwood Confirms Rights Issue Documentation and Timetable


Waterford Wedgwood PLC has announced that, further to its announcement on 27 November 2003, the document relating to the company's Rights Issue of 213,640,119 New Stock Units at €,0.18 per unit has been published and sent to Qualifying Stockholders.

The company also confirmed that application had been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the UK Listing Authority for 213,640,119 New Stock Units, each such unit comprising one Ordinary Share of nominal value of €,0.06 in the capital of Waterford Wedgwood and one Income Share of Sterling 1p in the capital of Waterford Wedgwood UK PLC to be admitted to the Official Lists of both bodies.

Application was made to the Irish Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange for these Units to be admitted to trading on their respective main markets for listed securities. Such admission was expected to become effective and dealings to commence, nil paid, in the Rights Issue Units on 2 December 2003.
