Innovative Systems for Ceramica Catalano
Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy) has improved the existing glazing line at Ceramica Catalano (Civita Castellana, VT, Italy) by supplying an automatic load/unload robot for the entire glazing line; the robot was made by Sacmi Group member company Gaiotto.
Line versatility and innovation stem from the fact that pieces are picked up from/set down on the moving cars as they travel towards the inspection/glazing line.
As a result, all the line operators have to do is inspect and check the pieces; manual handling is no longer required as everything is done fully automatically – thus ensuring greatly enhanced production efficiency.
