Porcelainised Stoneware is 'Green with Style'

Crossville Porcelain Stone (Crossville, TN, USA) has expanded its environmentally conscious range to include the GeoStone EcoCycleTM line of glazed porcelain stone tiles in five spectacular stone-look colours.

Crossville says it is the first and only manufacturer to produce a porcelain stone tile product with an unfired, reused raw material body. Four of the five new colours are made using 50% recycled body plus 50% base body. The fifth actually has 100% recycled body.

This recycled body is made from reclaimed, unfired raw material, including the dust particles collected from state-of-the-art air filtration and waste-water treatment facilities.

"We are just as committed to protecting the environment as we are to serving our customers," said Jim Dougherty, Crossville's Vice President of Sales & Business Development. "GeoStone EcoCycle is as beautiful and durable as our standard Porcelain Stone tile. These ecologically conscious tiles offer sensational stone looks with great style for any area".

Founded in 1986, Crossville Porcelain Stone is the largest American manufacturer of large-size porcelain tile for both residential and contract applications. It manufactures its products with naturally occurring clays and minerals mined in Tennessee and neighbouring states. Most tiles are now shipped in kraft paper cartons that are easily recyclable for use in other paper products.
