Emerson Introduces Wet Chemistry Analysers Range

Emerson Process Management (Irvine, CA, USA) has announced the first shipment of Rosemount® Analytical on-line wet chemistry analysers for sodium, silica, phosphate, hydrazine and ammonia. The analysers are used for process monitoring in the power and ultrapure water industries.

The addition of wet chemistry analysers expands Emerson’s range of conductivity, pH and dissolved oxygen analysers and sensors. The wet chemistry line, originally developed by Scientific Instruments Inc, which Emerson acquired in May, was already well established in the power and semiconductor industries.

The analysers are easy to use. Pressing one button starts, calibrates and puts the instrument on-line. Routine reagent replacement and maintenance takes only five minutes every three months. Replacing the valve pump, the heart of the analyser, requires about 15 minutes every two years. Reagents are ready-to-use; there are no messy chemical solutions to prepare and standardise. The analyser features self-diagnostics that validate the accuracy of the measurement by monitoring critical functions and alerting the user when a problem occurs, such as a leak, low reagent or an out of range measurement. The analyser can measure as many as six sample streams sequentially.

“We’re pleased to provide our line of wet chemistry analysis systems to round out our complete offering for the power and semiconductor industries,” said John Wright, Vice President, Emerson Process Management, Rosemount Analytical. “Our analysis systems are industry leaders and are backed by extensive experience and refinements, and now come with the expertise, service, and quality standards Emerson is known for.”
