Ceramic Fairs Announced for Turkey


UNICERA 2003 Ceramic & Bathroom Fair will be organised by TÜYAP Fairs & Exhibitions Organizer Inc, taking place at the Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Turkey from 1-6 April 2003.

The event is being organised in cooperation with TIMDER (Trade Association for Sanitary & Building Supplies), SERKAP (Ceramic Tiles Manufacturers' Association) and SERSA (Ceramic Sanitaryware Manufacturers' Association). The show runs alongside MUDER Kitchen and Bathroom Furniture & Equipment Fair.

Turkey, with more than US$200 million worth of exports, is the third largest ceramic floor tile exporter in the world, after Italy and Spain. Turkey is also the third largest ceramic flooring manufacturer in Europe, the largest in Eurasia, and the fifth largest in the world.

The scope of the two exhibitions comprises: tiles and ceramics; vitrified sanitaryware products; armatures; hydro massage bathtubs; mini bathtubs; shower cabins; pools and saunas; kitchen furniture; bathroom furniture; integrated equipment; and trade publications.

In 2002, these exhibitions went ahead with the participation of 154 leading companies, including representatives from not only Turkey but also France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, the USA and China. TÜYAP regards UNICERA as the largest ceramic exhibition in Eurasia. UNICERA/MUDER attracted 42,700 visitors from a total of 41 countries in 2002.

The Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center is Turkey's largest and is designed to accommodate an integral fair service for both exhibitors and visitors. The center offers a wide range of facilities which are operated in accordance with international standards.

Total coverage is 87,000 square metres, of which 52,000 square metres is indoors.
