Casalgrande Padana Acquires Riwal Ceramiche

Casalgrande Padana SpA (Casalgrande, Roteglia, Italy) and Riwal Ceramiche have reached an agreement by which Casalgrande Padana acquired control of Riwal Ceramiche SpA and the relative trademarks Alfa – Saime – Lux – San Prospero.

The agreement was reached by establishing a new company called Nuova Riwal Ceramiche Srl, of which Casalgrande Padana possesses the majority of the share capital.

The industrial project on which the agreement is based includes the reorganisation of Riwal Ceramiche from the business and industrial aspects as well as the development of synergies and opportunities within the group.

Casalgrande Padana said that this operation is in harmony with the evolution that the pertinent industrial sector is undergoing on both a world-wide scale and in the local ceramic manufacturing district.

Thanks to this new takeover, Gruppo Casalgrande Padana now possesses a production capacity of around 35 million sq.m. of ceramic tiles with six factories, all located in the ceramic district between Casalgrande, Maranello and Roteglia.
