ArmorWorks Receives Additional ESAPI Order

ArmorWorks (Tempe, AZ, USA), a leading provider of advanced armour products, has announced from the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting in Washington, DC the receipt of a US$5.4 million follow-on delivery order for Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts (ESAPI) for protection of military combat personnel. This order was placed under a multi-year ID/IQ contract administered by the multi-service Defense Logistics Agency. With this order, the company’s current contracts with the United States Department of Defense exceed $100 million.

This order is in addition to a previous ESAPI order from the Defense Logistics Agency announced by the company on 13 September 2006. ArmorWorks supplies body armour, vehicle armour, aircraft armour and shipboard armour to the US Army, US Marine Corps and US Air Force.

ArmorWorks uses the latest generation ceramic and composite materials to construct its armour systems and it extensively tests its products to assure their performance in a variety of environments.

ArmorWorks has produced over 300,000 ceramic armour components for a variety of personnel armour, aircraft and vehicle applications.
