Plants for Extruded Tile and Cotto Trim Under Construction for VIGLACERA

Two complete plants for the production of extruded tiles and cotto trims are currently being assembled for VIGLACERA in Vietnam. One of the plants is located in the Ha Long bay, in the north-east of the country, while its 'twin' is in the south, in Binh Duong Province.

Both plants have been designed to produce over one million square metres of 300mm x 300mm format tile; they will also be able to produce other sizes in the 200mm x 200mm to 500mm x 500mm range, plus trims such as single and double step pieces, cove base and angles.

Each production line features dry grinding in hammer mills, mixing and wetting in discontinuous planetary mixers, homogenisation, extrusion, disc-cutter division, rapid drying in multi-channel E4P roller dryers, and firing in JMS/FMS single-layer roller kilns with pre-heating modules. SACMI (Imola, Italy) has been commissioned to assemble these plants for VIGLACERA.

The kiln infeed features a two-car TR-type roller storage system; at the kiln outlet, the product is conveyed to the automatic MASTER sorting system or a manual trim sorting line. Both lines are expected to be fully operational by the end of the summer and will allow output to be doubled without any modification to the grinding departments - which were originally designed to handle such output levels - being necessary.
