Ceramic Technology Transfer Day

A key event at this year's Tecnargilla in Rimini, Italy will be the 3rd Technology Transfer Day on Ceramic Materials, Processes and Plants (Ceramic TTD), an initiative that aims to promote technology transfer by bringing together supply and demand for new technologies and innovations in the ceramic sector.

First launched in 1999 by Acimac and ISTEC-CNR, the event offers researchers, businesses, research bodies and universities who have proposed or requested innovative technologies the opportunity to make contact with ceramic sector companies from all over the world and establish business oriented and technological collaborations in the field of new technologies and applications or create partnerships to implement research that is already in progress.

More than 100 requests for meetings were made at the Ceramic TTD held during Tecnargilla 2002. A third of these meetings took place directly at the exhibition while the rest were held after the show had finished.

This year's programme includes the organisation of about 50 bilateral meetings during the five days of the show and a conference on 4 October 2004 to present the most interesting offers and requests along with a few case histories of cooperation between businesses and universities or research institutes.

For the entire duration of the show, all selected requests and offers for technology will be documented at the Ceramic TTD stand located in the central hall in the exhibition centre. Furthermore, the proposals can be consulted at any time on the dedicated web site - www.ceramicttd.it - which acts as a permanent virtual forum with a constantly updated database. Users can express their interest in a given offer and arrange a meeting with the proposing company.
