Thermal Ceramics Switches Ceramic Radiant Plaque Production

Thermal Ceramics Inc has announced the launch of the Tennaglo ceramic radiant burner plaques product line in its North American operation. This operation, formerly located at the UK manufacturing facility, has been relocated to better service the growing demand for radiant heating systems in the North American market.

The Tennaglo radiant plaque was originally introduced commercially in 1974, following several years of research, development and testing. Largely sold in the European radiant market since its introduction, this high radiant thermal efficiency product has found applications in a wide range of gas appliances, both for domestic and industrial space and process heating.

High radiant thermal efficiency and fast response in heating to equilibrium temperatures (thermal equilibrium reached in less than one minute from ignition) are accompanied by an equally fast rate of cooling, which is of importance in many types of process heating. Thermal Ceramics says that the thermal response imparted by this unique technology has no current parallels in ceramic plaques currently used in the gas and natural gas fuelled infrared heating markets.
