'TechGate' - Acimac's Collective Exhibit

The Italian Ceramic Plant and Machinery Manufacturers' Association (Acimac) has announced that it has established a collective exhibit to be known as 'TechGate', to be used at this year's Ceramitec exhibition and subsequent shows outside Italy.

At Ceramitec, TechGate will feature a total of 56 exhibitors covering an area of 2,700 square metres in Hall B3. The area has been designed to recreate a typical Italian piazza, aimed at being the perfect place for exhibitors to meet their customers and other visitors and will be complete with catering areas, five internet points and a full range of trade show services.

Acimac's Director Paolo Gambuli said: "The Italian ceramic machinery sector has established an extremely strong commercial presence in all international markets, making it essential to monitor them constantly. We therefore need to identify a joint strategy for the sector that will assure companies the maximum return from their participation at trade shows for the lowest possible investments.

"For non-essential trade shows, the formula of collective participation is the most suitable because it assures excellent visibility while having a low economic impact and requiring minimal organisational efforts on the part of individual companies."

Acimac added that the 'TechGate, Leader of Ceramic Technology' logo - chosen to emphasise the role of Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers as a gateway to the most advanced technology for the sector - would not only feature at Ceramitec 2003 but would also be used as a characteristic trademark for all future collective participations at trade shows abroad. The next of these will be the Italian collective at Cevisama 2004 (Valencia, Spain), which will use the same exhibit as being used at Ceramitec.
