Superconductive Components Inc Changes Name

On 22 August 2007, the shareholders of Superconductive Components Inc (Columbus, OH, USA) elected five directors of the company, approved the change of the corporate name to SCI Engineered Materials Inc and ratified the selection of Hauser + Taylor LLC to serve as the company's registered independent accounting firm for the year 2007.

Robert Baker Jr, Walter Doyle, Robert Peitz, Daniel Rooney and Edward Ungar were each re-elected to serve on the Board of Directors for a term expiring at the next Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

The company pointed out that the change of the its corporate name to SCI Engineered Materials Inc was consistent with the name that has been used in the company's marketing since 2003 and was integral to current corporate branding activities. It also reflects the transformation to a more diversified manufacturer of ceramic and metal sputtering targets as well as other industrial applications from a company founded to develop high temperature superconductive materials.

SCI Engineered Materials manufactures ceramics and metals for advanced applications such as optical, photonics including solar, thin film batteries and superconductors. The company currently has clients in more than 40 countries.
