More Exhibitors Expected at Showcase 2003

With a 50% increase in the space for Showcase 2003 at the Birmingham International Spring Fair in February 2003 (National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England), organisers are hoping to accommodate up to 55 small ceramic manufacturers under the Showcase banner at the event. Requests from some of last year's exhibitors, together with confirmation from companies on a waiting list from 2002, mean that already half of the stands have been booked.

Keith Marsh, Director of the Association for Ceramic Training and Development (ACTD) - the Showcase organising body - said: "Our first year at the Spring Fair was a tremendous success with positive feedback from most of the Companies who exhibited. Everyone is looking forward to this second bigger and we hope an even better participation in 2003.

"As over half the available space for Showcase 2003 has already been allocated we would remind Companies to book quickly as all stands are being issued on a first come first served basis."

The event will take place from 2-6 February 2003 and Showcase 2003 will again be sited in Hall 1 alongside other ceramic manufacturers from the UK and overseas. With funding already in place for this second participation at the Spring Fair from Stokeworks and additional sponsorship for 2003 from Business Link Staffordshire, ACTD has been able to retain last year's prices for the stands.

An additional 50% more space than last year has been agreed with Trade Promotion Services, the event organiser, so three sizes of stands are being offered for Showcase exhibitors, the largest space being made available for the first time. After mailing the companies which took a stand in 2002, together with those on the waiting list, 29 bookings are confirmed. All remaining small companies - around a further 60 - are now being mailed and invited to participate in Showcase 2003.
