Sacmi Group Acquires Majority Share in Matrix Srl
An interesting purchase has occurred for Sacmi in the press production field of the metallurgical and refractory powders industry. HPS, the Sacmi Group’s holding company, has announced that it has purchased a majority share in Bologna-based Matrix srl, a long-standing specialist in the compaction of ceramic, metallic and refractory powders, as well as carbon, silicon carbide and special ceramics.This agreement thus allows Sacmi to enter into a new market and make use of its extensive know-how in the powder metallurgy sector, a key field for the automotive industry within which Matrix can claim extensive experience and reliability.
The goals of the agreement, in fact, focus on uniting Matrix’s technical knowledge and customer portfolio with the financial solidity, sales network and distinctive technical skills of Sacmi in the hydraulic pressing field.
Sacmi and Matrix will be presenting themselves together in Mannheim, Germany, during Euro PM2008 (29 September-1 October), the key trade fair for the powder metallurgy industry.
