Raytek Introduces New Marathon MM Series

The new Marathon MM Series platform, which covers a temperature range of minus 40°C to plus 3000°C, consists of five IR temperature sensor models, each with a specific measurement wavelength and temperature range appropriate for either low (–40°C to 800°C), medium (250°C to 1100°C) or high temperature (300°C to 3000°C) production monitoring.

The Marathon MM is available with remotely adjustable precision focus optics. Users can easily adjust the focus of measurement targets, either by push-button on the rear of the instrument or remotely via the RS232/RS485 connection from a PC where adjustments can be seen real-time on video. All motorised focussing components are contained within the sensor housing so that the unit can withstand even the harshest environmental conditions. The new variable focus feature provides the flexibility of needing only one sensor type for multiple sensor applications. This reduces the requirement for replacement sensors stock, resulting in considerable cost savings.

All MM sensors feature identical installation hardware and include Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software to enable easy and consistent installation, configuration and data capture across the full breadth of an application. To meet the needs of a many industries and a wide range of applications, Raytek offers five types of MM sensors.
