New President For Brush Wellman Inc


Brush Wellman Inc (Cleveland, OH, USA) has announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Michael Anderson to the position of President. Brush Wellman Inc is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials Inc.

Brush Wellman, the largest subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials, is the only fully integrated producer of beryllium, beryllium alloys and beryllia ceramic in the world.

Mr Anderson will retain his responsibility as President of Beryllium Products, a Brush Wellman business unit. He will continue to be based in Cleveland.

Michael Anderson joined Brush Wellman in July 1974. In his tenure with the company he has held technical, sales and senior management positions within Beryllium Products, Brush Ceramic Products and Brush Wellman's Alloy Products units, as well as at Williams Advanced Materials Inc, another wholly-owned subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials.

He is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and later earned an MBA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He is an active member of a number of technical and industry professional organisations.

Through its subsidiaries, Brush Engineered Materials supplies world-wide markets with beryllium products, alloy products, electronic products, precious metal products and engineered material systems. Around the world, the company's engineered materials can be found in technically demanding end-use products with the telecommunications and computer, data storage, aerospace and defence, industrial components, medical and appliance markets.
