MAC Buys VFS Vacuum Furnace in USA
Industrial Heating (www.industrialheating.com) reports that Vacuum Furnace Systems' west coast office in California announced the sale of a vacuum furnace with a closed-loop recirculating water system and turnkey installation to Morgan Advanced Ceramics, for its US headquarter facility in Hayward, CA, USA.
The order was placed with VFS in May 2004 and is being delivered during August. VFS expects to complete the installation and have the furnace operational by late September.
The new furnace will be used to vacuum braze ceramic to glass and ceramic to ceramic using an active braze-alloy process, producing hermetic seals on products used in aerospace, medical, electronic and automotive applications.
