Gresart - Proud Owner of Largest Tile Kiln in Portugal

There has been a new and important purchase for Gresart-Cerâmica Industrial SA (Oliveira do Bairro, Portugal), the leading Portuguese company specialised in the production of porcelainised stoneware tiles.

Just recently, some Sacmi manufactured machines were put into production at the company's manufacturing plants in Oliveira do Bairro; the installations promise to considerably boost production in line with Gresart's growth and development strategies.

The new plant consists of two model PH 4800 presses along with 19.7m horizontal ECP 235/19,7 roller dryers with 5 channels. In addition an FMS 267/140,7 roller kiln, 2670mm outlet and 140.7 metres long complete with a JMS 267/10,5 dryer has been installed: this is the largest kiln of its type presently installed in Portugal.

The new installation greatly increases Gresart's production capacity: around an extra 6,000 square metres of glazed porcelainised stoneware tiles, in 50cm x 50cm format, can be produced per day. Gresart's choice of supplier confirmed its earlier trust in the Sacmi Group: all the presses and dryers present in the first production plant installed by the Portuguese company were purchased from Sacmi.
