Two Gaiotto Robots for Saudi Ceramics

Saudi Ceramics has chosen robots made by Gaiotto – the Sacmi Group company specialising in robotised process solutions – for its glazing lines. The robots, two GA2000 units, feature off-line software: Gaiotto, in fact, has revolutionised traditional self-learning and point-to-point systems for the programming of painting robots.

Via piece digitalisation and subsequent modelling, the off-line 7WD (7 axes work digital) solution automatically simulates the trajectories and generates the glazing programmes. Moreover, thanks to a combination of six manipulator axes and a seventh turntable axis, it is also possible to achieve outstanding reductions in programme cycle and overspray times, adds the company.

With its ultimate goal being the production of top-quality ceramics, Saudi Ceramics, one of the Middle East’s longest-established producers, has again demonstrated that only technologically advanced partners will do for its Riyadh production plants.
