CERAM Publishes Updated Ceramic Food Contact Materials Guide

International Guide to Toxic Metal Release from Ceramic Tableware 2007

Following the success of earlier editions, CERAM has now published an updated issue of its comprehensive guide to Toxic Metal Release from Ceramic Tableware. This is mainly to reflect the transposition of new European Union legislation, updates to world wide amendment Regulations, as well as re-affirming others.

This popular guide is of particular benefit to tableware and cookware manufacturers of glass and ceramics. It ensures they can keep abreast of regulations and standards in over 60 countries worldwide. It will also be of benefit to testing laboratories, tableware retailers as well as glaze and colour manufacturers who all have to ensure that their products meet international regulations and standards.

The Guide alphabetically catalogues each individual country and then details lists of migration limits, provides brief details of test methods and full references to the relevant regulations and standards.

Electronic copies of the guide can be purchased now – price £40 – by contacting Joanne Dawson, Environmental Information Scientist, CERAM Information Centre.
