World's Smallest Occupational Dust Monitors

Grimm Aerosol Technik (Ainring, Germany) has been a leading supplier of particle monitoring equipment for over 20 years. A wide choice of portable and fixed instruments covers particles from 5nm to 30 microns in size and concentrations from 1 to 1010 particles/litre.

This range includes the 1100 series, said to be the world's smallest battery powered portable dust monitors. Their portability makes them ideal for occupational health applications in areas such as construction sites, process plants and public buildings, in compliance with EN481 and other national and international standards.

Different models in the 1100 series use patented laser and filter based technologies to measure and display inhalable, thoracic and alveolar respirable particles simultaneously and in real time. The Grimm 1100 series instruments are genuine particle size spectrometers, not nephelometers, so no size-selective sampling heads are required.

Results can be logged locally on data storage cards (up to 6mB) or downloaded to PC. According to supplier Quantitech Ltd (Milton Keynes, Bucks, England), this range offers a genuine European manufactured alternative to American products, with real technical advantages and very attractive prices.
