Major Asian Ceramics Event Scheduled for May 2005

Companies and ceramic organisations from several continents have already expressed their interest in the newly announced CeramAsia 2005 event which will be held from 4-6 May 2005 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The event, described as "the perfect ceramic networking forum for East and West", is organised by Expolog Ltd (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs, England), has a local partner in the National Metal & Materials Technology Center (MTEC) in Thailand and is supported by the Ceramic Industry Club of Thailand (CICT).

Expolog said that to help manufacturers keep pace with the rapid development within this growing tiger economy, CeramAsia was taking place in Thailand for the very first time, having previously been held in Malaysia. Building on the success of these previous events, exhibitors will once again be offered the opportunity to make contact and do real business with senior executives from manufacturing organisations representing the most important companies within the Asia Pacific region.

In expanding the remit of the event on this occasion, Expolog has also announced that the exhibition will feature not only suppliers of raw materials, machinery and technology to the region, but will also showcase local manufacturers. This is the first time that this exciting mix will have been presented.

Hand-in-hand with the local and international exhibit programme will be the CeramAsia Conference and Seminar. Like the event as a whole, it will address those issues which are, very often, unique to two-way business between Asia and the West and will provide a forum for ceramic professionals from all the over the world to debate current issues and compare experiences which may be critical to future developments in ceramic production and manufacture.

These themes will be reflected in the conference programme, with an emphasis on the transition from theory to practice, always a difficult and sensitive matter to address.

At the seminar, a distinguished panel of speakers will address key issues surrounding international business practices and the new, exciting developments in world ceramics.

A brand new and completely dedicated website has been created and this contains very detailed, fully illustrated and easily accessed information about all aspects of CeramAsia 2005 - for visitors, conference delegates, press and exhibitors alike.
