Argenta Cerámica Chooses Sacmi Yet Again

Argenta Cerámica SL (Vall d’Alba, Castellón, Spain) continues to grow through its cooperation with supplier Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy). The Spanish tile company has just purchased an FMS2950/138.6 kiln and a PH3020 press with an inter-column clearance of 2250mm from Sacmi Group, raising its output capacity by 50%.

The single-channel roller kiln, 2,950mm wide, is able to produce 500mm x 500mm pieces five-in-a-row and, together with the other two Sacmi kilns already in operation at the company, will raise floor tile output to around 36,000 square metres a day.

The PH3020 press, with an inter-column clearance of 2250mm, was due to be installed together with the EVA983 dryer in July 2006: it joins the other five Sacmi PH3020 presses already owned by the Spanish company. One of the most important technical features on this plant is the high output rate, achieved thanks to the combination of considerable load width and fast execution of the pressing cycle.

Argenta Cerámica SL is a five year-old floor and wall tile producer that produces 32,000 sqm/day and intends to produce 46,000 sqm/day during 2006 of 25mm x 25mm, 33.3mm x 33.3mm, 45mm x 45mm red body floor tiles; 15mm x 15mm, 25mm x 40mm, 31mm x 45mm, 31mm x 60mm red body wall tiles and 33.3mm x 33.3mm, 45mm x 45mm, 50mm x 50mm and 30mm x 60mm glazed porcelain and also 45mm x 45mm and 30mm x 60mm full body porcelain floor tiles.

Argenta is exporting the finest designs in ceramics, produced with the latest technologies to 55 countries all over the world, of which the USA is one of the principal destinations.
